Enchanted Rock, Texas is a national park close to Fredericksberg, Texas, but is actually located in Austin. Human life in this area dates back to around 12,000 years ago. There have been Paleo Native American arrowheads found in the side of the mountain. There are also gouge marks in the mountain, as Natives would supposedly use these spots to pound grain into flour, or corn into corn meal. Natives have also been known to leave sacrifices at the base, as they believed many spirits visited the place at night. There are also many legends surrounding this place. Seeing how ancient this place is, it really doesn't come as a surprise.
